Owned and operated by the Kataoka family, Lodge and Bar Sidehill has recently undergone a major renovation, and has emerged as one of the most comfortable accommodations in the Echoland area.

Only 150m off the main street of Echoland, this lodge is only a short walk to over 15 bars and restaurants, as well as a major shuttle bus stop with connections to all of Hakuba's major resorts. Owner's or staff will come and get you from Hakuba Station, or Happo Bus Terminal on arrival, and make sure you make your bus or train when you leave.

Although all online bookings are B and B style, we recommend you sample the lodges dinner menu once or twice during your stay. Full course meals are available on request, and are create using the freshest local ingredients, with and emphasis on organic produce. Dietary needs can also be catered to. Breakfast is a western Sidehill Map

style and the menu changes daily.

With only 8 guest rooms and a maximum of 16 guests, you will never feel boxed in. You can relax in one of the modern guest rooms, or watch TV on the wide screen TV in the lounge area. Guests may also use the private use Jacuzzi jet bath, or Japanese Style Onsen Bath to soak away any aches and pains from a day on the slopes.

The in house bar is open from 8:30pm every night, serving beer, wine, spirits and cocktails. A very relaxing way to end a long day on the slopes. For those wishing to sample Cuban cigars, this is the only part of the lodge where smoking is allowed.

Children's Rates:
0 - 3 years are free of charge (no bed or meals)
4 - 6 years are 50% of adult fare
