| While the name may be a bit of a mouthful for non Japanese, there is
nothing uncomfortable about the Pension Harutsugedori (pronounced
Hah-ru-tsu-ge-do-ri"), Only 150m off the main street of Echoland, this lodge is only a short walk to over 15 bars and restaurants, as well as a major shuttle bus stop with connections to all of Hakuba's major resorts. Owner's or staff will come and get you from Hakuba Station, or Happo Bus Terminal on arrival, and make sure you make your bus or train when you leave. Breakfast is included in all reservations and is a full cooked breakfast with eggs, sausages  (ham,
or bacon), toast, coffee and tea. Dinner is served by request only, and
is a full course affair using local produce. Please let the owner know
if you require dinner by 8AM on the day.The Pension underwent a major renovation in 2008 and was upgraded yet retains the atmosphere of a classic Japanese Lodge, with exposed beams and a natural wood finish throughout. Wifi internet throughout the lodge, so please bring your laptop and enjoy unlimited internet access at breakneck speed. For rooms without Ensuite, there is a private use Japanese style bathhouse. |
